New Internet Video Server Software
For Live Video Broadcasts and Video Servers
If you want to broadcast video and audio over the internet, take a look at Graham Technology Solutions' (GTS) new Video Server software. GTS Video Server captures video on a Sun SPARCstation with Parallax XVideo Xtra for playback on any system with Netscape Navigator 1.12 or higher and an ISDN connection. No plug-ins are required to view GTS video, so you don't need to download playback software before viewing video. Video frame rates of up to 30 frames/second are possible, depending on the user's network connection speed (internet speeds are usually slower, around 2-10 frames/second).
Video broadcasts can be live or on-demand for applications including demonstrations, remote observation, special events broadcasts, and training. If you are planning a broadcast to a large audience, GTS also offers services including proxy servers and broadcast services.
